About
Hi, I’m Sara Moreno 👋
I’m a SAP Cloud Architect and senior software professional with a strong focus on building scalable, well-designed platforms and enabling teams to work better with them.
I currently work at adidas, where I act as a Core Leader for the SAP Business Technology Platform, helping define the future of the platform while delivering real business value.
This blog is where I write about technology, architecture decisions, and practical lessons learned from real projects.
What I do
My work sits at the intersection of architecture, development, and platform strategy.
On a daily basis, I:
- make architectural decisions about cloud platforms
- define and promote best practices for development teams
- enable CI/CD pipelines and SaaS services
- lead innovation initiatives using SAP BTP and cloud-native tools
I enjoy working close to both technology and delivery, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also usable and maintainable.
Background
I have more than 10 years of experience working with SAP ecosystems and enterprise platforms.
Before joining adidas, I spent 8 years at NTT Data, where I worked as a senior consultant, developer, and team lead across multiple large-scale projects.
Some highlights:
- Long-term SAP implementations for infrastructure and telecom companies
- End-to-end development of cloud applications using SAPUI5, HANA, and later SAP BTP
- Integration-heavy projects connecting on-premise SAP systems with cloud services
- Early adoption and internal enablement of SAP CAP and Cloud Foundry
These experiences shaped how I approach software today: with a strong emphasis on architecture, quality, and long-term sustainability.
How I think about work
I care deeply about doing things properly.
I’m methodical, pragmatic, and comfortable making decisions when needed. I like taking ownership of projects and helping teams move forward with clarity and confidence.
This blog reflects that mindset:
- clear explanations over buzzwords
- practical examples over theory
- documenting things I wish I had found explained clearly before
